As 2013 reaches an end, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the students who studied with Quickienomics . I can assure you that Quickienomics would not be where it is today with your never-ending support.
Looking back at 2013, it has been an exciting year for us. The team has put in tremendous effort to revamp the existing Introduction to Economics videos you see on YouTube and incorporated interesting ways to help you study better. We hope that you find the new videos simpler to understand, specific to your syllabus needs, and also captivating to make studying a joy for you.
We are also glad that we managed to gain your support and confidence when we launched the all-new Quickienomics.com. The take-off proved to be challenging because of several glitches and bugs on the new website. However, you were forgiving and offered your feedback and comments so that we could squash those bugs early. For that, we thank you.
Quickienomics.com might not be perfect but we are working hard to build it into strong platform to suit your academic needs. Besides smashing the few remaining bugs, we are happy to announce that we will be launching a new feature on Quickienomics.com very soon: Gamification!
With gamification, we hope to make studying with Quickienomics more interesting and fun for you. You can start winning special virtual badges by watching our videos, performing certain social acts like “liking” and “sharing” our videos, and also helping other UOL students with their doubts on the video discussion boards.
This awesome new feature is still under testing and we will keep you informed once it is ready for everyone to use.
We aim to complete production of the Introduction to Economics lecture series by the end of January 2014. Then, we will begin production of the Introduction to Economics exam tutorial series so that we can be by your side while you prepare for the finals in May 2014.
It is my pleasure to announce that as you read this email, production of a new lecture series, Statistics 1, is currently in progress. We are fortunate to have a new member of the team to produce the new series for UOL students. This new member of Team Quickienomics is the top student of the Economics and Finance cohort of 2013 and has also scored 100 marks for one of the toughest units in UOL, Quantitative Finance, and 90 marks for both Managerial Economics and Management Science Methods. Please stay tuned to the Quickienomics Facebook page to find out when his videos will be released for you.
We are also working on forming partnerships with two established UOL tutors in Singapore to bring more learning materials to you. Giving you joy in learning and helping you build academic confidence at the comfort of your own learning environment through e-learning is of the highest importance to us. I can personally assure you that we will do whatever we can to form these partnerships so that we can benefit you even more.
On behalf of everyone at Team Quickienomics, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
