The results are finally out and I must say that it was a totally anxious wait for it! Some of us got what we wanted, some of us surpassed our own expectations and, unfortunately, some of us did not make it. I would like to address these groups of people one by one.
For those who got what we wanted and those who did amazingly well, CONGRATULATIONS! Firstly, I’m extremely delighted for you! There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that the people around you are successful and I certainly hope that I played a part in making it happen! The next academic year is starting soon. I bet you will do equally well or maybe even better! Who knows??? The human mind is capable of almost anything as long as we set it to perform in the way we want it to!
If you did not do so well, look, IT’S OKAY! It’s not the end. Although this shouldn’t be an excuse, the exams were tough and challenging. It might be your study methods. It might be your lack of time. It might be your lack of interest as well. It doesn’t matter what it was as long as you take the time to find the root of your problem. I am certainly heartbroken to hear stories of people having to repeat units. I want to help and I sincerely wish you all the best. Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance and we will do our utmost best to make sure you beat the exams to the ground come next year! It’s not the size of the man that matters but the size of the fight in the man!
Year One’s!!!!! Where are you guys? I have a funny feeling that you might have heard of many stories about how hard intro to econs is and those talk might have scared you a little.
Please do not be intimidated. It is possible to excel and I’m sure with the right mindset and discipline, all of you will be able to do it! Trash all those limiting beliefs and start having new ones that will empower you to be more optimistic and driven about your studies!
Whatever it is, we will always be there to help you but most importantly, be there for your friends! Teaching is one of the best ways to learn! The more helpful you are, the better you become!
With that, I end my little letter to all my precious viewers out there with a little quote that I live by on a daily basis:
“You cannot change the world; you can only change yourself!”
