We understand that it’s going to be a little tough getting into the festive mood as the prelims are around the corner and with that thought nagging at the back of your head, we hope that you’ve made or have already started to make preparations for it. Remember that it is the amount of hard work and dedication you put into your studies that will enable you to score well.
Talking about hard work and dedication, the Quickienomics team has invested countless hours into providing you with the best supplementary studying aides in enabling you to better understand the concepts taught in school.
Outlook for Quickienomics in the year of the Dragon is positive; site statistics shows that we average more than 9600 views with more than 3000 unique visitors in just a month alone. Worldwide viewership from places like the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Lithuania and Pakistan just to name a few. However, despite all the passion and dedication we put into giving our subscribers and worldwide viewers the best we can offer, we do face certain resistance towards our cause and we thank you for standing by our side. Quickienomics would like to use this opportunity to share with our viewers that we have always and will continue to abide by our 3 core values. They are:
1. Effective supplementary role for students
It has always been our mission to provide the UOL student body with study aides that complements their main stream of learning, i.e. lecturers or even self study. We may be fellow students but the concept of private tuition has always been students helping students, right?
At Quickienomics, we strongly believe that the young adult demographic has shifted drastically and therefore conventional teaching methods might not work. With the availability of social networking media and intellectual property authorities, we have to innovate with a holistic approach. Hence, all of our materials have been fully customized and developed to suit the taste of the young adult community as according to the best of our understanding.
3. Integrity and respect
Quickienomics would also like to thank all the lecturers in SIM UOL, private institutions such as PSB Academy and SAA Global Education, and all the dedicated lecturers in the world for giving students like us a second chance into a tertiary education. You have worked extremely hard to give us the best that you can so we can in turn contribute to society. We strongly believe that learning is a two prong approach:
a) Lecturers who are already doing an excellent job
b) Student who have to proactively facilitate their own learning
In conclusion, our outlook would be to live by our core values and to continue to expand Quickienomics with more units, as well as personal development opportunities. Stay tuned.
We would also like to congratulate the first batch of Empowering Workshop attendees; you have made the first decisive step to achieving your academic goals! We can assure you that all attendees will receive priority news and updates regarding networking and personal development opportunities.
The first workshop was fully sold out in less than 1 week! The response was overwhelming and we owe you our deepest gratitude. We assure you that we will work harder to conduct more workshops for those that missed this opportunity. So, stay tuned for that too.
In view of the auspicious Dragon Year, here’s a quote to change our perspective toward challenges.
“Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth… Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.”
